Trigger warning: Intense squirrelly cuteness.
When Penn State student Mary Krupa arrived on campus, she was struck by how friendly the resident squirrels were. Some would even let her touch them. “I figured, hm, well if the squirrel lets me touch it, maybe I can put a little hat on it,” she says in a YouTube interview. That’s a logical train of thought, Mary. You can’t argue with that reasoning.
The result is Sneezy the Penn State Squirrel, actually a number of different squirrels that Krupa’s befriended; any one can stand in as Sneezy. She dresses them up with adorable costumes and props — including paper hats, miniature saxophones, and tiny, tiny teacups — and then photographs them. God bless this woman and her willingness to risk rabies for the betterment of us all.
Before the internet, Mary might’ve been made fun of as “that weird girl over there petting the squirrels.” But now? She’s “The Squirrel Whisperer.”
Now, please enjoy some of the fruits of Mary’s precious, precious labor:
Those tiny paper sandals absolutely destroy us.
Holy crap we can’t even handle this. Someone please give Mary a Nobel Prize.
Dios fucking mío, man. ¡Qué lindo!
“DJ Squirrel,” huh? Clever, Mary.
Omigod, that hat with the tiny propeller. You are killing us with cuteness, squirrel.
Even that tiny leaf just demolishes us.
From now on, when we think of a knight in shining armor, we’ll think of this.
SERIOUSLY WHAT IS THIS SOURCERY?!!?
Hehehe, we can’t even take it anymore. Can’t even one bit.

Thank you, Mary. The world is a better place with you in it.
