Published in DIY
Thursday, 27 October 2011 14:00

Halloween is awesome. It’s a fact that there is pretty much nothing in this world that is as fun as slipping on something crazy and riding the wave of candy-induced sugar mania and/or the adrenaline rush of getting the crap scared out of you (thanks, Jason and Freddy). But shelling out mucho dinero for some piece of polyester is for newrds! With a creative imagination and maybe some minimal add-ons, you can rock Halloween DIY style with just the stuff you have around the house.

Glamming up Your Pumpkins

Published in DIY
Friday, 21 October 2011 15:00

I was the type of kid that at 5 years old, wouldn’t eat my dinner unless I watched Michael Jackson’s "Thriller" video. I loved horror movies and my favorite holiday wasn’t Christmas, it was Halloween. I have a propensity towards the creepy… what can I say?!

This year, I’m trying something a little different. Glam Pumpkins.

If you’re the type of gal who doesn’t like getting her hands dirty, this is just the DIY for you. Pumpkin cac is a problem. I feel you. It gets in my nails and cakes onto my arms. When pumpkin guts dry, they’re a bitch to rip off (though with all the arm hair they take off, it’s almost like a DIY waxing kit... that sucks.)

Since none of the BK gals really like pumpkin guts, we’ve compiled an easy how-to guide to glamming up your pumpkins with no muss, no fuss and definitely NO CARVING.

There’s nothing like a little sparkle to brighten up a room, but chances are that 6ft wide solid crystal chandelier you were eyeing in last month's Vogue isn’t going to fit in your foyer. Scratch that, who even has a foyer? This week in D-I-Y we’re showing you how to make the most of your shiny stuff and flaunt your jewels for everyone to see, with a great jewelry-hanging frame.

Well, after weeks of hard work, the crew can finally say that we have a bitchin’ office. It’s true. We did not have the best looking digs a few weeks ago. It was plain, it was drabby, and worst of all, it looked like boys lived here. Finally, we are ready (and no longer ashamed) to unveil the final look of our new office.
