So you’re no mixologist. That’s okay. This breezy summertime cocktail is about as easy as it gets. And because it’s technically a brunch cocktail, you don’t even have to wait until 5 o’clock.
The Strawberry Muddle
750 ml Prosecco or other sparkling dry white wine
1 1/2 cups strawberries, chopped
1 cup simple syrup (see our DIY simple syrup)
thin lemon slices
Directions: Split strawberries among six small old fashioned glasses. Add 1 tablespoon syrup to each glass and muddle (using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon). Add a slice of lemon slice to each and mash to release flavor. Add several ice cubes to each glass, then fill with Prosecco.
Makes six cocktails.
