Drinks Pear & Prosecco Cocktail
3 star anise
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup water
1 cup pear nectar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 750 ml bottle Prosecco
In a small pot over medium-high heat, bring 3 star anise, water, and honey, and sugar to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, so syrup can coat a spoon.
Add pear nectar once the syrup is thick enough and bring heat up once more to medium-high. Return heat to medium-high and add pear nectar. Bring to a boil, and then remove syrup from the heat. Cover and let stand for a couple of minutes. Next strain mixture into a small bowl, add lemon juice and let chill for 20-30 minutes.
When chilled, fill flute or martini glass hallway with pear mixture and top with some prosecco.
