Mains Grilled Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

baconshrimp2011

Shrimp, meet bacon. Bacon, meet shrimp. You two will be working together for the next little while… and it will taste magical. It’s a beautiful thing when two foods can come together and make a tasty combination. This weekend, fire up these bacon wrapped shrimp and let your taste buds rejoice.

Ingredients
12-16 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
6-8 slices bacon
2 tbsps olive oil
2 tbsps juice from one lime
2 tbsps of freshly chopped parsley
Skewers (for grilling)

Directions: Fire up the grill, preheat for medium heat.

Shrimps: In a bowl, combine limejuice, olive oil, and fresh parsley. Place the shrimps in the bowl and mix. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes in the fridge.

Bacon: Cut pieces of bacon in half and wrap the shrimp in bacon. Secure with skewer. You can place 3-4 shrimps on the skewer.

Brush on a small amount of oil on the grill and shlap on your bacon-wrapped shrimps. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once. Since shrimp and bacon have a similar cook time, the shrimp will be done when they turn pink and the bacon is crispy.
