Ange here, reporting from West Hollywood! I’m in town for the Taste Awards and get to hang out with Nadia G at her swanky LA pad. One of the perks of calling the G-star your friend is that she makes you all sorts of goodies (the other includes some serious shew gawking and “borrowing”). Last night, it was time for a nightcap and I was treated to G’s Hot Toddy!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1.5 oz whiskey
1/2 oz of Van Gogh Vodka
1 Tbsp. apricot preserves
1-2 orange slices
1-cup hot water
1 clove per toddy
1 tea bag
raw sugar to taste

Making a hot toddy is super easy, and you can make it your own by switching up the ingredients like Nads has done. Instead of honey, she’s used apricot marmalade, which gives this toddy a sweet kick.

Start by boiling some water. While that heats up, scoop one tablespoon of  marmalade or preserves of your choice in to a cup.

Then add your orange slices, squeezing some of the juice out of them.

Add the whiskey…

Next, add  Pomegranate Van Gogh Vodka for some sweet and tart flavors, kinda like cranberries but even more awesome. It also gives this toddy a great color!

Slap in a tea bag (we used breakfast tea), a clove, and finally add the hot water to top off. Stir and let the tea steep for a bout 5 minutes.

Remove the teabag and enjoy.

There’s nothing like some warm, boozy comfort on a cold LA night. Especially when an entire shew closet is within arms reach. Thanks Louboutin! I mean, thanks Ms.G!
