Culture Chilling Art Captures the Dystopia of Modern Living

| Wednesday, 2 September 2015 22:53

Sometimes today’s world can feel pretty dismal. London-based illustrator Steve Cutts describes himself as a “self-taught hermit who occasionally likes to make animation, illustration, sculpture and cake. Mainly cake.” We’ve never tried his cake, but if it’s as good as his art, we want the recipe.

Cutts has a harsh take on the modern world, taking on issues like inequality, consumerism, and the tedium of the daily rat race — but sometimes the result feels absolutely spot-on. Below are a selection of our favorites.
