Hot Pants & Boy Shorts
If you’re lucky enough to have the legs to pull these bad-boys off then you’re in luck because the micro-mini look is in season. Definitely not for the bashful, these shorts go up. Way up. While this type of short may look like a swimsuit (not leaving much to the imagination), if you’re confident about your figure and think you have a great set of legs then you should definitely give these shorter-than-short shorts a try.
Denim
Everything denim is making a comeback. Tops, bottoms, jackets – you name it. While the skin-tight skinny jean might be out (thank God) roll-ups, boyfriend jeans, peek-a-boo and ripped bootlegs are the newest trend. White/light washes are in as well, along with head-to-toe jean ensembles. Jean shirts and jackets are also making a reappearance, so you want to be sure to have these staple fashion items in your wardrobe this summer, perfect for last-minute looks
Neutrals
Khakis, beiges, tans, nudes and even grays are back in full force this season. The beauty of these neutral colors is that you can pair them up in any combination and can create the ultimate sexy barely-there look. Tops, shorts, leggings and dresses are a great base for outfits that you want to dress up with bolder prints and are even great on their own. If the nudes make your skin look like a washed out carcass, you can always opt for the grays which are just as awesome. Play them up with chiffon, ruffles, draping, or even go for a military inspired look and you’re good to go!
Bold Prints
Tribal, floral, geometric and animal prints are here to stay…at least for the spring and summer. While some choose to keep the print limited to either a bottom or top, some opt for great printed dresses that are just as current. Similar to the dress above, combine prints that complement each other, rather than distract. When considering prints options, floral is always a safe bet, as they’ve been both dominating catwalks and mainstream stores alike. One thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn’t really mix prints. So don’t go combining leopard tights with geometric printed Ts unless you want to end up on a worst dressed list – or even worse – our WTFRU Wearing?! feature.
The Wedge Sandal
Yes, the gladiator shoe is still in but the wedge is back and Bitchin’ Lifestyle couldn’t be happier. The wedge sandal gives you the height that’s in right now without the added risk of falling flat on your face. Golden. The cork heal is a comfortable option and also happens to be the most popular, giving women the height and wearability not often possible with other catwalk styles. It doesn’t matter whether you’re going for casual or classy, this versatile style is one of the hottest around this summer.
