Wineybitches.com was started back in 2007 when Evans was prepping for her own wedding. She knew there’d be wedding toasts, speeches, and more importantly, drinking. “I made some customized glasses to help everyone keep tabs on their drinks,” Evans says, “Lucky for me, they saw it as a unique keepsake. It just grew from there.”
And boy, did it grow. The big day had come and gone, yet Evans continued receiving requests for her custom wine glass creations. “Even when the buzz wore off, my friends and family were requesting these little creations for other events,” she explains, “What started as a selfish tactic for marking my pre-wedding swill, turned into one of my best ideas ever ...well, there was that thing in college, but... never mind.”
“A lot of people told me that having a company name that included profanity would never catch on… F*ck ‘em!” She coyly adds. We can’t help but agree.
So with a name like ‘Winey Bitches’ what are the sorts of designs you can expect to see? The answer? Anything you want. “Pop culture insisted that I created something for my favorite Bachelorette,” she says, “[So I made a special design that read] ‘Drink to me, I’ve been deceived by a douchebag’. Evans is of course referring to ABC’s The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris. “If Jillian sticks with me, she may not find Mr. Right, but she’ll earn Top Hostess honours at her next party.”
Evans also takes special requests and doesn’t mind the occasional saucy humor. In fact, she lives for it. As a big fan of Vince Vaughn, Evans swears she has ‘no filter’. “I’ll say anything,” she says.
So the Bitchin’ Lifestyle crew decided to test the potty-mouthed-crafty-wine-glass-diva ourselves. A couple of bad-ass answers later, we bring you 10 Questions with our Bitchin’ Babe.
