Jocelyn Wildenstein
This is a weird one. Jocelyn was a Swiss born socialite who went on to marry billionaire art dealer Alec N. Wildenstein in 1978. Jocelyn had an obsession with aging and her goal was to avoid it at all costs. She had several surgeries to help maintain her youth, but after she caught her husband cheating on her, she went overboard in an attempt to get him back, eventually becoming addicted to plastic surgery.
72 procedures and over $4 million dollars later, this is what she looks like today. Sad, huh?

This is an example of a person so unhappy with their own appearance that they actually believe this is an improvement. Doctors refer to the condition as Broken Mirror Syndrome and believe this is what Jocelyn Wildenstein suffered from. She was convinced there were severe flaws in her appearance that needed to be corrected though plastic surgery…except since the problems were only in her mind, no plastic surgery could fix them. But she sure kept trying anyways.
A good question would then be – Should the doctor who performed all of her surgeries have let it get to this point at all, or was it her decision to make?
Dr. Jan Adams
This is another case where you really have to wonder what’s going on with this doctor and why he wasn’t investigated sooner.
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because this is the same plastic surgeon that operated on Kanye West’s mother the day before she died of complications. After the death was made public and people began asking questions, several other of Adams’ past patients came forward with their own allegations.
One of those patients was Michelle Trobaugh who after seeing the high-profile Beverly Hills plastic surgeon on the Discovery Channel, booked an appointment with him for a tummy-tuck and breast augmentation.
The procedure left Trobaugh with lumps, fluid deposits and a lot of pain. Adams assured her that this was simply part of the healing process and that she should wait it out. A year later her symptoms were no better and her insurance does not cover the necessary reparative surgeries. She made her story public in the hopes of helping others avoid the same fate.
Brian Zimbig
Finally, just to throw a bit of levity into this article, we give you Brian Zimbig. Not so much a tale of plastic-butchery, but rather one of weirdness, here’s a guy that got breast implants on a bet. In an ironic twist of fate this is probably the best looking surgery out of all three…
Zimbig, a professional gambler had a friend bet him $100,000 that he wouldn’t get implants for a year. He took the bet, got the implants and then mysteriously grew attached to them and left them in for another year and a half. But we’ll give it to him, he won his bet, actually got married while the things were in, and out of all the people we read about while researching this article, he seems to be the most comfortable in his own skin.
Here’s a video of Brian for your perusal. Don’t watch it if this is the kind of thing that offends you. Pressing play will result in you seeing a dude with boobs. You’ve been warned.
