Saturday on Cooking Channel: Rehab Recipes

Published in News
Friday, 23 September 2011 15:00

Party time left you feeling not so ‘excellent’? Never fear, Nadia is here! AND she comes bearing the holy grail of hangover foods: Poutine.

The G-Star puts her own spin on this Quebec classic, subbing in some vitamin rich sweet potatoes (which makes it almost  like health food, but awesome and full of cheese). Top it off with some fried Medallione with Italian Salsa and wash it all down with a Celery-Pineapple-Banana smoothie... and maybe the world will stop spinning.

Until it does, watch Rehab Recipes on Cooking Channel Saturday @ 11pm ET/ 8pm PT.

Weekly Round-up: Rockstars and Sketchy Drinks!

Published in News
Monday, 19 September 2011 12:00

It’s Monday already? This past week flew by so fast, we’ve got windburn (and a never-ending supply of these kinds of jokes BK community, get ‘em while they’re hot!).

For Tuesday Boozeday we showed you how to resurrect a cocktail from your collegiate nightmares, subbing in some fresh ingredients instead of nasty neon sugar water! We also had the chance to chat up one ½ of Montreal’s premier indie band Chromeo, it was awesome! Finally, we made sure you started your weekend off stylishly with some tips for taking your nails to the next level. Just in case you had a bit too much fun over the weekend, we had you covered with some hangover-friendly blueberry pancakes.

Supperclub Challenge was pretty challenging this week, as we asked you to whip up your own take on Nadia’s recipe for mussels , major props to Supperclub allstars Markus and Czari who rocked the recipe their own way!

Tonight on Cooking Channel: Bag 'Em Tag 'Em

Published in News
Wednesday, 14 September 2011 12:00

Ahh the first blush of love, there’s nothing like savoring that brief period of happiness before it dissolves into psychosis and obsession.  Nadia shows us how to lure that honey into believing you really are this awesome (suckers!) with the help of some schkoffable sweets and classic mate-pleasing dishes of meat, potatoes and pasta.

On tonight’s episode (if you haven't seen it, it's new to you!) Nadia G will teach you how to seal the deal by appealing to their stomaches with a simple (yet gourmet) spin on French toast with homemade caramel au fleur de sel, a fettuccine with sweet crab and peas, smothered in a Rose sauce and finally, ground sirloin shepherd's pie topped with homemade creamed corn, sweet yam and russet mash, AND crushed potato chips. That outta do it.

Tune in to Cooking Channel at 10pm to learn how to weave a sweet, sticky web (of Fleur de Sel caramel in this case) and snag the one you love!
